On Tuesday, 24 February, members of Lagos Marvel Lions Club gathered virtually for an impactful edition of Marvellous Moments – Knowledge Sharing Session. The session, themed “Responsibilities of an Active Member,” was designed to reinforce the principles of commitment, leadership, accountability, and meaningful service within Lionism.

We were deeply honoured to host Lion Dr. Elizabeth Oluwaseun Makinde MJF, NLCF, GMT Coordinator 404-B2 and Charter President of Lagos United Lions Club. With clarity and passion, she delivered a powerful presentation highlighting what it truly means to be an active and impactful Lion.

During the session, members were reminded that active membership goes beyond attendance, it requires intentional participation, consistent service, leadership development, mentorship, financial commitment, and upholding the values of Lions Clubs International. She emphasized that growth in Lionism is directly tied to engagement, collaboration, and a shared vision for community transformation.

The interactive discussions that followed allowed members to reflect on their individual contributions and recommit to strengthening the club’s service impact. The session served not only as a learning platform but also as a call to action to lead with purpose, serve with passion, and remain dedicated to the ideals of Lionism.

Indeed, it was an evening of insight, reflection, and renewed commitment.
